Elite Indoor Football announces the Birmingham Ravens will be an expansion team in their league beginning with the 2021 season.

The team's owner will be Rodreguise Patton.

"We are interested in joining the EIF because we have heard a lot about how competitive and how well teams and players are treated within the league. I Have the team that I feel will match this league competitiveness and become one of the top teams or maybe even the face of the EIF. It would be an honor to be a part of your league and become as one family in the EIF and become a major brand for publicity for the league's expansion. I have been speaking with a lot of people on how they feel about having a professional arena football team in this area and the responses I got were very welcoming with high expectations on the team's back, which I plan on making a very competitive run to succeed at making those demands of the fans come true", Patton said.

The Ravens hope to play their home games in Bill Harris Arena.

Elite Indoor Football's first season was 2017. Each team will have eight players on the field.

Currently, there are two other Alabama-based teams in the EIF, the Alabama Lumberjacks (Dothan) and the Southern Renegades (Sulligent).
